Dr Toby Ford is a renowned expert in the area of resilience and corporate health risk management and nationally accredited speaker. Dr Ford is a pioneer of the Australian corporate health industry, Bachelor Medicine, Bachelor Surgery, General Medical Practitioner, Member Australian Institute Company Directors.
He graduated from University of Queensland Medical School in 1984. After graduation he spent time in several Queensland public hospitals before entering a period of practice in rural and city locations. A period of time with the Flying Doctor service cemented his interest in rural health and wellbeing for remote people, in particular men.
On returning from gaining experience overseas, he has committed to a career in preventative health for working aged men and women. This experience has expanded to clinical services, public speaking and the development of the organisational health risk management systems. In recent years he has focused his research to include wellbeing, performance and resilience studies.
He is a guest lecturer in the University Queensland Business School curriculum and is completing his qualifications for the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Toby is a member of the Anglican Church Grammar School governance body. He is a past board member of the Queensland Section, Royal Flying Doctor Service and past President of the Workplace Health Association Australia, of which Ford Health is a foundation member.
As a keen Masters rower, he is President of the Vikings Rowing Club, Brisbane.
