Executive Health Assessments
The Ford Health Executive Health Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of your health and wellbeing
Ford Health have determined five key areas that are crucial in assessing the health of an individual:
- Work Profile – A review of risks related to work practices, fatigue and burnout
- Lifestyle Profile – A detailed assessment of diet, activity levels, smoking and alcohol intake
- Medical Profile – A comprehensive medical assessment and consultation
- Physical Profile – Cardiovascular risk scoring and biometric measurements
- Psychological Profile – Clinical evaluation of stress, anxiety and depression
Steps for taking part in an Executive Health Assessment
- We will call you to make an appointment for your assessment. You will need to allow 2 ½ hours for this.
- An information pack will be forwarded to you by email. This contains a pathology request form, health questionnaire details, a How to Prepare for your Health Assessment checklist and a map showing our location.
- The health questionnaire should be completed at least one week prior to your assessment. Online and hard copy questionnaires are available.
- The fasting blood test should also be completed at least one week prior to your assessment to ensure that results are available for discussion on the day.
*Please note – Cancellation or rescheduling fees apply, if made within five working days of your appointment.
What happens during my assessment?
- On arrival at our medical centre, you will be greeted by our friendly staff and asked to complete a consent form for the exercising ECG stress test.
- You will then be taken to get changed into comfortable clothing and exercise shoes.
- Your assessment will include approximately 1 hour with an exercise physiologist and 1 hour with a doctor. Time will be made available to discuss any issues or concerns you may have.
- At the conclusion of the assessment, shower facilities are available to you with towels provided.
What is the difference between this assessment and my regular GP check up?
- Blood and Urine Testing for over 43 factors
- 1 hour with an exercise physiologist to discuss diet, exercise, measure your core strength, flexibility and fitness, as well as action planning and goal setting for any risks you might have or changes that you want to make.
- Resting and Stress ECG – An exercise electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) is a test that checks for changes in your heart while you exercise. Sometimes EKG abnormalities can be seen only during exercise or while symptoms are present
- 1 hour with a doctor, with the experience of working with thousands of Australian executives each year
- Review of test results, family and medical history
- Consultation around performance, work, coping and lifestyle
- Comprehensive reporting detailing year on year progress
In summary, we don’t just seek to keep you well, we aim to improve your Health, Wellbeing, Resilience and Performance.
